Background

Myfood is a permaculture-focused AgTech company that empowers citizens to produce their own fresh, sustainably grown food, even in small urban spaces. By combining advanced greenhouse design with innovative IoT technology, Myfood enables users to grow fruits, vegetables, and herbs efficiently while minimizing water use and carbon emissions.

The project’s goal was to modernize the legacy greenhouse management application built on ASP.NET MVC and develop a corporate portal, My Food Hub. The outcome is a connected system that makes sustainable urban farming accessible, measurable, and intuitive.

Modernized greenhouse management

We rewrote the legacy application using C#/.NET Core for the backend and Angular + TypeScript for the frontend. The new architecture supports fast data processing from multiple IoT sensors, real-time alerts, and responsive dashboards for greenhouse monitoring.

My Food Hub – corporate portal

TA centralized web portal allows administrators to view statistics, manage greenhouse devices, and optimize production schedules. Interactive dashboards display environmental metrics, plant growth data, and yield projections.

IoT integration

The platform seamlessly connects with smart greenhouse sensors that measure temperature, humidity, light, and soil conditions. Automated alerts notify users of anomalies or maintenance needs, reducing manual oversight and ensuring optimal plant growth.

User experience design

We developed an intuitive interface that works across devices, making greenhouse monitoring and control easy for private users and corporate clients. Clear visualizations of sensor data, production statistics, and trend analysis allow users to make informed decisions.

Scalable architecture

The backend supports multiple greenhouses and sensor types, ensuring the system can expand to accommodate future product lines and geographic locations. APIs were designed for interoperability with third-party services, enabling data export.
